Primary Function

In the role of Manufacturing Process Team Leader, you will be pivotal in managing a team of dedicated operators and overseeing the maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Your chief objective is to ensure the delivery of safe, effective products that meet customer expectations while strictly adhering to compliance standards. You will adeptly plan and coordinate daily production activities, guaranteeing that all processes are up-to-date and followed precisely.

Major Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead a team of 6-8 processors in the formulation lab and material handlers, ensuring efficient operations.

  • Staff Development: Regularly conduct one-on-one meetings with team members, guiding their professional growth and development plans.

  • Performance Management: Complete performance evaluations, providing valuable feedback to staff members.

  • Production Oversight: Guarantee that manufacturing schedules are consistently met, aligning with required volume outputs.

  • Equipment Problem-Solving: Tackle issues with manufacturing equipment to sustain product quality and adhere to production timelines.

  • Quality and Productivity: Ensure achievement of productivity, quality, and cost objectives while upholding relevant policies and procedures.

  • Compliance and Procedures: Actively contribute to the creation and review of work instructions and operations procedures, maintaining high compliance standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through Performance Excellence Assessments and Development Plans.

  • Health and Safety: Uphold a departmental culture that prioritizes human health, safety, and environmental stewardship.

Education and Experience

  • Qualifications: Relevant third-level qualification or trade certificate in Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing.

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Reporting

Directly reports to the Manufacturing Shift Lead or Manufacturing Manager.
