Key Responsibilities
As a Senior R&D Program Manager, you will:
Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects in the R&D space, ensuring strategic alignment with critical business objectives.
Utilise advanced project management tools to oversee New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering projects within authorised budget limits.
Drive cross-functional team collaboration, facilitating decision-making to prioritise projects effectively and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Conduct thorough risk assessments, developing and implementing mitigation plans to maintain project schedules and control costs.
Champion innovation within the R&D organisation, applying technical knowledge and innovative thinking to advance project goals.
Develop and refine project methodologies, including scope, schedule, quality, and cost metrics, to enhance project execution and reporting.
Ensure the successful execution of significant technical projects, focusing on life cycle costs and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) with a proven track record in managing R&D projects in the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in new product development within the medical device engineering sector.
At least 5 years of project or program management experience in medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceutical development environments.
Expertise in applying project management tools for both New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering initiatives.
Solid understanding of ISO standards, Design Control regulations, and medical device regulations in emerging markets.
