We are looking for a Senior Research & Development Analytical Chemist, where your expertise will drive innovation and shape the future of our clients products. As a proficient analytical method developer, you'll lead the charge in introducing cutting-edge materials and products. Your role will encompass overseeing the comprehensive testing of materials, finished goods, and engineering samples, ensuring top-notch quality every step of the way.

  • Spearhead research initiatives to enhance analytical techniques, methodologies, and procedures, fostering continuous improvement.

  • Utilise your expertise to develop and implement analytical test methods, accurately assessing the quantity, quality, and purity of new compounds.

  • Craft comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommending enhancements to processes and test methods, contributing to streamlined operations.

  • Dive into exploratory research to uncover insights for potential new products, driving forward our innovation agenda.

  • Evaluate and optimise the application of instruments in analysis, staying at the forefront of technological advancements.

  • Unravel the intricate relationships between molecular structure and physical properties, providing invaluable insights into the analysis of new compounds.

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all analytical data, upholding rigorous quality standards.

What the ideal candidate looks like:·   

  • A third-level degree in a relevant field is essential, with a Ph.D. highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific requirements.

  • Proficiency in a diverse range of analytical method development techniques, including but not limited to GPC, HPLC-CAD, MALDI, and GC-FID.
