Our Client, A Family-owned company, is one of Ireland's most progressive building companies with projects throughout Ireland and the UK. They are currently hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their projects based in Dublin.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have sufficient experience to develop the commercial agenda for a project and communicate that to the commercial team and also the wider project team.


Job Responsibilties:

  • Lead the procurement of specialist trades for the project and make appointment recommendations in conjunction with the project director.

  • Lead the drafting of subcontract Agreements.

  • Manage the Commercial team in the receipt, assessment, and settlement of subcontract interim valuations and final accounts.

  • Set the communications agenda and ensure that your own commercial team develops and maintains strong working relationships with the wider project team.

  • Lead the project team's understanding of the client Agreement and be responsible for ensuring that the wider project team fully understands the contractual commitments that the company has made

  • Provide proactive advice to the project director on matters of contract.

  • Identify key risks and issues on the project and also a strategy to navigate any such items.

  • Be responsible for the submission of the project's final account to the client.

Job Requirements:

  • Third Level Degree in Quantity Surveying.

  • Minimum 5 Years Experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with emphasis on ability to provide and explain reports accurately. 

  • A proven track record of concluding successful final account agreements with Subcontractors and Clients.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • An elevated competence in the current forms of Agreements in the industry and an ability to fully understand the implications of amendments to such forms.
