Sales Team Manager – Inbound Sales

We are currently recruiting a Sales Team Manager to lead a growing inbound sales team based onsite in Carlow. This is an exciting opportunity to join a start-up environment where you will play a key role in shaping team performance, building a strong sales culture, and driving commercial success.
This role is ideal for a motivated and commercially focused manager who enjoys working in a target-driven environment and has a passion for developing high-performing sales teams. You will be responsible for supporting agents to maximise conversions while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance standards. You will also have the opportunity to influence the growth of the team, support recruitment and development, and contribute to building a high-energy, results-focused sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of inbound sales agents, creating a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Driving Sales Performance: Manage team KPIs including conversion rates, productivity, and sales targets, ensuring consistent delivery of strong commercial results.
- Coaching & Development: Provide regular coaching, feedback, and structured development to enhance sales capability and confidence within the team.
- Performance Management: Monitor performance metrics and implement targeted action plans to improve individual and team results.
- Sales Culture & Motivation: Create a results-driven environment that encourages accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Reporting & Insights: Track and analyse team performance data, providing insights and updates to senior leadership.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure all sales activity meets regulatory standards, data protection requirements, and internal quality expectations.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the hiring, onboarding, and development of new sales agents as the team continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing or supervising a call centre or inbound sales team within a target-driven environment.
- Strong Commercial Focus: A track record of driving sales performance and exceeding KPIs through effective leadership.
- Coaching & Development Skills: Ability to motivate, coach, and develop sales agents to reach their full potential.
- Excellent Communication & Leadership: Confident in engaging with teams, delivering feedback, and driving performance conversations.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Comfortable interpreting sales metrics and using insights to improve team performance.
- Industry Knowledge: An APA (Accredited Product Adviser) qualification or experience within a regulated/financial services environment is highly advantageous.
