Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join My Client, a leading global provider of industrial compressed air and service solutions, supporting customers across multiple sectors throughout the Republic of Ireland. This is a leadership-focused commercial role responsible for guiding and developing the Compressor Service Organisation (CSO) sales team while driving sustainable service growth, customer retention, and long-term partnership development. This position combines people leadership with commercial accountability, suited to an individual who enjoys coaching others, building strong customer relationships, and creating the structure and conditions for consistent sales performance and long-term success.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing and engaged CSO sales team across the Republic of Ireland.
  • Drive growth in service contracts, aftermarket revenue, and customer retention initiatives.
  • Strengthen customer engagement through increased field activity and structured account management.
  • Participate in strategic customer visits and support long-term relationship development.
  • Oversee contract renewals, win-back strategies, and expansion into new and competitor sites.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM systems, sales forecasting, and performance reporting tools.
  • Monitor sales metrics and use data insights to guide decision-making and team focus.
  • Promote and embed a strong Health & Safety culture across the sales function.
  • Actively support sustainability initiatives and contribute to the organisation’s Green Journey strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with service operations teams and other business lines to deliver a seamless and consistent customer experience.
  • Maintain structured sales processes, encourage continuous improvement, and ensure operational consistency.

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading or managing a technical or service-based sales team.
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership style with a genuine interest in developing others.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, forecasting, and KPI management.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical sales actions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable being present in the field, working closely alongside sales representatives and customers.
  • Highly organised with a structured approach to planning, reporting, and performance management.
  • Commercially aware with a focus on sustainable growth and long-term customer value.
  • Committed to Health & Safety best practices and sustainability initiatives.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within industrial equipment, compressed air, engineering services, or technical service industries.
  • Exposure to aftermarket service sales, contract renewals, and customer retention strategies.
  • Experience working within a multinational or matrix organisational structure.
