We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join a lighting manufacturing company on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be primarily on the road covering the Munster region, driving sales growth by developing business plans, managing key accounts, and identifying new project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve agreed sales targets across all wholesaler accounts within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale branch managers, buyers, and electrical contractors.
- Develop and implement business plans to grow sales within existing wholesaler accounts.
- Follow a monthly call plan to ensure consistent service levels across all accounts.
- Drive both regular stock sales and lighting project opportunities across the customer base.
- Monitor market trends and maintain accurate customer records, including pricing and purchasing patterns.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Complete monthly reporting, update the project pipeline, present at sales meetings, and undertake occasional overnight travel if required.
Requirements:
- Experience within the lighting and electrical market, or related construction products sector is desired.
- Proven sales experience and the ability to consistently hit targets.
- Experience working with electrical wholesalers and contractors is desired.
- Hard-working, self-motivated, and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
