R&D Engineer – Medical Device Sector

We are partnering with a leading innovator in the medical device industry to recruit an experienced R&D Engineer. Responsibilities:

As an R&D Engineer, you will:

  • Design and implement test methods and equipment for new medical devices, focusing on cardiology.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine device designs based on testing outcomes.

  • Develop and validate hardware and software systems for testing cardiovascular devices.

  • Maintain rigorous documentation for test procedures and adhere to updated standards.

  • Analyze test data using statistical methods and report findings to improve device performance.

  • Support risk assessment activities like DFMEA and PFMEA to ensure device safety and efficacy.

  • Engage with external partners for device development and manufacturing.

  • Contribute to intellectual property filings and innovation within the cardiovascular device field.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in medical device development, preferably in cardiovascular technologies.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven ability in using statistical analysis and experimental design for medical device testing.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as 21CFR820, ISO 13485, and familiarity with MDR.
