The Role
We are currently working with one of Irelands leading seafood companies who are seeking to hire a HGV Driver to serve their collection points in the Dublin and Wicklow region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive HGV rigid vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper securing and handling.
- Verify the accuracy of goods against delivery documentation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the roadworthiness of the vehicle.
- Report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and timesheets.
- Maintain a logbook and record details of working hours.
- Communicate effectively with the transportation team, and customers.
- Report any delays, issues, or incidents promptly.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid and clean HGV driving license.
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Proven experience as an HGV rigid driver.
- Familiarity with local and national traffic regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
