You'll demonstrate your mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience. With a Bachelor's in engineering and a passion for innovation, you must have internship, work experience or college project experience with prototyping, proto, prototype, or similar to apply.
As a Proto Engineer, you'll be immersed in a dynamic role where both mechanical and electrical skills are utilised. You'll be hands-on, testing your creations before passing them on to the quality department. The products play a crucial role in a range of applications, including defence equipment, vehicles, and machinery for the semiconductor industry. Full Training is provided.
Proto Engineer responsibilities:
- Creating work instructions together with engineers, thinking along about solutions to problems and implementing improvements in the TPDs (Technical Production Documentation);
- Building, adjusting, re-designing and checking new (complex) cables and test setups to be developed on the basis of a technical drawing;
- You work both within a Grade 4 class cleanroom and outside it;
- You participate in project teams to analyze and solve problems;
- The work consists of building prototypes and small series.
Proto Engineer requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, aircraft maintenance, mechatronics or similar;
- Experience from a similar position such as prototype builder or prototype mechanic;
- You can easily keep an overview when things get complex and like to think along and take the initiative;
- Experience in reading technical drawings and schedules;
- Have a good command of the English language and commit to a minimum of 2 years in relocating to the Netherlands.
