We are partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent contract.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the site’s electrical preventative maintenance programme to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely, safe, and compliant manner, adhering strictly to company procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical and electro-mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
- Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance, addressing scheduled tasks and emergency breakdowns efficiently.
- Test, inspect, and certify completed electrical installations in line with regulatory standards.
- Work with PLCs and associated systems, carrying out fault finding and basic programming support where required.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all on-site electrical equipment and systems.
- Accurately complete all work orders, documentation, and maintenance records.
- Participate in training programmes and maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOPs and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to all site Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards at all times.
Requirements:
- An Electrical Instrumentation qualification (QQI Level 6) or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician within an industrial environment.
- Strong technical competency in electrical maintenance and engineering practices.
- Experience working with machinery, process equipment, controls, and automation systems.
- Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
