Our client, a multinational pharmaceutical company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Sligo on a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities:
Support daily production targets by maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Perform preventive and routine maintenance on injection moulding machines, tooling, assembly, and test equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process issues to minimise downtime.
Carry out equipment calibration and maintenance activities in line with company procedures.
Provide technical support to production teams to ensure schedules are achieved.
Work with equipment vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
Participate in continuous improvement and site maintenance excellence initiatives.
Support equipment upgrades, commissioning, validation, and improvement projects.
Ensure all work is documented in line with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
Maintain maintenance records and work orders using the Maximo maintenance management system.
Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to assist with troubleshooting and improvements.
Requirements:
Leaving Certificate, Senior Trade Certificate, or FETAC Level 6 technical qualification (or willingness to obtain).
3+ years’ experience in high-precision manufacturing.
2+ years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. medical device or pharma).
Experience in mould tooling, electrical systems, or automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with complex equipment.
Basic computer skills, including working with computer-interfaced equipment or ERP systems.
