Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Dublin 12

We have a very exciting opportunity for a maintenance technician to join our client, a leading supplier of material handling systems and customised automation solutions in Ireland and abroad. This is a permanent position located on-site in Dublin 12.

 A prospective employee would be required to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work on automated handling systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Diagnose issues, repair, and refurbish material handling equipment and system components.

  • Plan, schedule, and carry out preventive maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime.

  • Work proactively to achieve and maintain all performance targets.

  • Support engineering initiatives and take ownership of maintenance-related projects.

  • Apply a hands-on approach to resolve equipment or system failures quickly and effectively.

We are looking to speak with:

  • Individuals from an Electrical/Mechanical background, OR

  • Individuals from a production background with experience on assembly/ production lines, OR

  • Individuals who possess mechanical, electrical or engineering degrees, OR

  • Experienced hires – those coming from an installation/ electrical / mechanical/ repair background with 5+ years of experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Technician role.

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or a related discipline).

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of troubleshooting across PCs, PLCs, pneumatic, mechanical, IT, and electronic/electrical systems.

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling fast and effective fault resolution.

  • Hold a comprehensive knowledge of automated handling equipment and conveyor systems.

  • Experience in all aspects of general equipment maintenance, repair and servicing.
