Data Analyst | Procurement Department

Join our client's Purchasing team as a Data Analyst, based in Limerick. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Data Analyst will collaborate closely with Finance, off-site Account Managers, and inventory Planners. This role is pivotal in providing accurate and timely data analysis to support various teams, including Business, Sales, Procurement, and Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Conducting thorough data analysis and research to provide valuable insights from various raw data sources.

  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluating website or intranet performance and designing processes for measurement, tracking, reporting, and analyzing traffic and user experience.

  • Critical Indicator Extraction: Identifying and extracting critical indicators from complex data sets and interpreting them within a business context.

  • Client Understanding: Understanding clients’ information needs, business objectives, and market sectors to devise appropriate data analysis strategies.

  • Reporting: Generating intuitive reports to enhance client relationships and solidify our client's position as a strategic partner.

  • Team Management: Line management of other analytics staff to ensure efficient operations.

  • Adherence to Standards: Ensuring adherence to individual procedures and processes, including compliance with ISO standards.

Key Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in Finance or Purchasing-related subject is essential

  • Several years of experience in a Data Analyst role.

  • Experience with people management and a strong teamwork background is very advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to a very high standard is essential.

  • Proficiency with Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills.

  • Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion.

  • Understanding of Health & Safety issues.
