Our Client is a global leader and manufacturer of injection-molded products for the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and industrial markets as well as consumer packaging. They are currently expanding their current team to meet customer demand and are seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent position based in Co. Longford. The successful candidate is responsible will assisting with the efficient operation of each manufacturing facility by procuring new automation and ensuring that all automation is operational. This included assisting with the design, overseeing the installation, and completing the qualification of all new automation.

Job Responsibilties:

  • Responsible for purchasing and design of automation.

  • Responsible for supporting automation projects for TM locations in Europe if required.

  • Generate technical feasibility plans for assembly and decoration

  • Interface with customers on new projects and represent TM as technical lead for automation

  • Quote new automation work cells as required.

  • Responsible for the generation of cost-saving opportunities related to automation and the presentation of this to management regularly.

  • Manages construction time schedules to meet the production schedule needs of new automation machines.

  • Assists in production start-ups related to automation machines

  • Assists with the troubleshooting of new and existing automation machines.

Job Requirements:

  • Third Level Degree in Engineering or combination of education skills and experience.

  • General knowledge of machining, part design, CAD, Injection Molding, and manufacturing operations.

  • Good communication and Interpersonal Skills.

  • Basic Computer and control systems knowledge is required.

  • Overall good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
