Our client is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor to join their team in Castlebar, Co. Mayo on a permanent contract.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate Team Leads and Operators in the warehouse.
- Hire, train, and manage staff, including assigning work, reviewing performance, and handling issues.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring smooth daily activities and meeting company standards.
- Monitor inventory with Supply Chain to make sure materials are available for production.
- Conduct regular counts and audits to keep stock accurate and resolve discrepancies.
- Improve warehouse efficiency by organising space, workflows, and inventory processes.
- Enforce safety, health, and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and internal teams to ensure timely shipments and resolve shipping issues.
- Track and report on warehouse and logistics performance, including KPIs and costs.
- Collaborate with other departments (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance) to make sure materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Requirements:
- Level 7 qualification in Business, Management, Production, Engineering or related discipline would be an advantage.
- A minimum of four years of warehouse experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Demonstrates ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and create a positive team environment through active listening, constructive feedback, and continuous coaching.
- Ability to analyse and resolve problems as they arise, with the ability to use lean/six sigma or other problem-solving methodologies.
- Must be comfortable building spreadsheets and organising and presenting data, using pivot tables, building formulas, etc.
