Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to embed sustainability practices throughout our operations.
- Quantify our carbon footprint and strategise ways to minimise it, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Support initiatives like Bord Bia Origin Green, aligning them with our sustainability objectives.
- Provide guidance to teams on resource conservation and facilitate their implementation.
- Conduct training sessions to raise awareness and understanding of sustainability principles.
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track progress and share insights internally and externally.
- Organise engaging events that promote our sustainability goals and foster community involvement.
- Simplify complex sustainability concepts for effective communication across the organisation.
- Contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures that reinforce our commitment to sustainability.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field, preferably with a focus on environmental science or energy management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office suite.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Adaptability and readiness to take on varied responsibilities.
