Our client, a leading international manufacturer within the building services sector, is seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Executive to develop and grow their piping business across Ireland. This is a field-based role focused on generating new and repeat business, securing project opportunities, and converting specifications into sales. Working closely with specifiers, contractors, and merchants, you will play a key role in positioning the company as a preferred partner on commercial schemes across your territory.
This opportunity would suit a motivated sales professional with strong technical understanding and a proven ability to build long-term relationships within the construction and building services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with merchants, contractors, and specifiers to ensure products become their preferred choice.
- Create and influence specifications, promoting complete product packages where appropriate.
- Convert specified projects into secured sales in line with agreed objectives.
- Develop new users and grow market share within your territory.
- Complete a minimum of 150 customer activities per quarter in line with agreed call patterns.
- Maintain accurate customer contact details, call reports, and project data within the CRM system.
- Deliver contractor training sessions and provide on-site technical support to ensure correct installation and product knowledge.
- Ensure merchants are fully trained and actively promoting the product range.
- Achieve and exceed agreed area sales targets.
- Submit details of secured projects for marketing case studies and promotional use.
- Work closely with internal Specification Sales Managers and Business Support teams to maximise sales potential in your area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical sales within the building services, plumbing, or construction sector.
- Experience working with contractors, merchants, and specifiers.
- Strong ability to influence specifications and convert project opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong time management abilities.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full clean driving licence.
