Sales Executive - Sligo

Our client are a supply and distribution provider of pipeline and construction products. They operate from depots in Sligo and Dublin.

They supplied material and supply solutions to contractors, designers and utility companies throughout Ireland and the UK for more than 30 years and stock a comprehensive range of pipeline related products & equipment.

Their success has been achieved through working proactively with their established customer base, providing intelligent supply solutions, technical expertise and product alternatives.

They are seeking to strengthen and develop its market position by recruiting a senior, externally based key account sales executive. Currently the team manage a large portfolio of customers and they wish to develop more face-to-face dialogue to maintain and further develop relationships with their long-term customers.

They would like to recruit an experienced, committed and commercially driven individual to work alongside and drive the business development at their Sligo operation covering the West of Ireland.

The role would encompass:

  •  Managing and maintaining current portfolio of existing customers.
  • Development and targeting new customers.
  • Assisting with development of effective and efficient management of the Sligo depot sales process.
  • Resolution of customer enquiries.
  • Development and maintenance of a project and customer enquiry log.
  • Identification of new sector and alternative product opportunities.
  • Providing clients with technical support as and when required (after training).
  • Working with existing team to deliver depot revenue targets.

The successful candidate will be expected to operate in a structured manner, leading the Sligo sales effort throughout the West of Ireland.

The role will include time at the depot along with field-based work visiting customer offices and construction sites. There is very little cold calling with most of the accounts established and transactions undertaken on a B2B credit account basis.

The role requires a mix of Hunter/Farmer traits and a candidate somewhere in the middle with the ability to go in either direction, as required, considered ideal.

An attractive basic salary with a performance related bonus, pension, vehicle or mileage allowance along with the usual other benefits is available to the successful candidate.
