Production Operator

Production Operator | Evening Shift - 11 month contract with a strong opportunity for permanency (4:45pm to 2.45am Monday to Thursday)


The Production Operator is responsible for the manufacture of medical devices. This Production Operator performs a variety of assembly and sub-assembly operations of medical devices including test and packaging processes. The Production Operator checks that raw materials and equipment are working correctly. This role is based in Galway city.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform work in a controlled cleanroom environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) to ensure high standards are maintained.

  • Follow work procedures and specifications carefully to ensure the correct execution of tasks.

  • Ensure proper setup of raw materials and equipment, following the guidelines provided in the Manufacturing Process Instruction (MPI).

  • Clean tools and equipment according to documented procedures.

  • Assemble, repair, inspect, and test products in compliance with the MPI.

  • Record all necessary information accurately on approved documents and in real time.

  • Properly dispose of hazardous waste material in accordance with Health and Safety (H&S) regulations.

  • Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues by adhering to H&S policies and documentation.

  • Provide training to other employees on specific steps when required and with prior agreement.

Knowledge & Educational Requirements

  • Applies knowledge of MPI, business concepts, procedures and practices and a basic understanding of department fundamentals.

  • Candidates must be educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
