A leading steel shed manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily production operations in the Midlands. This permanent position involves leading the production team, ensuring efficient workflows, and upholding high standards of quality and safety. This is a key role within the business to ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe production that supports the company's growth and success.
Location: onsite Kilbeggan
Production Management
- Direct all aspects of the production lifecycle from steel fabrication to final assembly and finishing.
- Monitor and manage daily output to meet scheduled targets and customer deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal specifications.
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of fabricators and general operatives to deliver operational excellence.
- Set performance goals, provide mentoring, and support skills development.
- Foster a positive, solutions-focused culture on the production floor.
Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with the design office to ensure production aligns with technical specifications.
- Work with procurement to secure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of finished products.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Drive lean manufacturing principles where applicable.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all operations meet Health & Safety Authority (HSA) standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety documentation.
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years’ experience in a Production / Manufacturing Manager role
- Experience in one of the following: Steel Fabrication, construction materials, timber manufacturing, or modular building environments
- Strong team management experience
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
