Provide strategic and operational leadership for a manufacturing value stream within a global medical device manufacturing site in Cork, Ireland, leading production teams and cross-functional partners to deliver strong safety, quality, service, cost, and people performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a value stream organisation of 200+ employees across multiple shifts, setting stretch goals and driving strong business and team performance.
- Deliver results across the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People) while ensuring customer requirements and production targets are met.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with Engineering, Quality and other cross-functional partners, as well as local and global stakeholders.
- Manage and develop Senior Production Supervisors and Production Supervisors, with indirect leadership of Product Builders across multiple shifts.
- Plan and allocate resources and capacity to deliver committed production plans and support future growth.
- Coach and mentor leaders to build capability and maintain a strong succession pipeline.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, engagement and effective communication across the value stream.
- Manage departmental financial performance, including annual budgeting and cost control.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement through tools such as Daily Accountability, 5S, structured problem solving and team communication routines.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory standards and GMP requirements to protect patient safety and product integrity.
- Partner with Engineering and Quality leaders to develop and execute the value stream’s 3-year strategic plan and support site strategic initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Typically 8+ years’ leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, deliver results against targets and deadlines, make effective decisions, and drive innovation and engagement.
