Our client, a multi-national medical device manufacturer in Galway are looking to hire Manufacturing Engineers to join their team for an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing team and to work on state-of-the-art technologies. The role will support projects related to product development, NPI, process improvements, equipment validations etc
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical efforts on product and process issues.
- Drive improvements through the VIP program.
- Lead process improvements across people, quality, service, and cost.
- Apply structured methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external quality and engineering teams.
- Participate in phase reviews and NPE meetings for new products.
- Support manufacturing to meet quality, output, and cost goals.
- Maintain capacity models and assist with capital planning.
- Lead Lean initiatives.
- Guide Process Technicians and ensure timely preventive maintenance.
- Develop and implement GMP-compliant documentation.
- Plan and support major projects and product transfers.
- Evaluate new equipment/processes for environmental impact.
- Undertake additional projects as assigned.
- Ensure patient safety and product quality.
- Adhere to all quality system regulations.
- Promote personal and team development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 8 qualification in engineering or related field.
- 3 + years' relevant industry experience.
- Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Project management experience a plus.
