Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a multi-national medical device manufacturer in Galway are looking to hire Manufacturing Engineers to join their team for an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing team and to work on state-of-the-art technologies. The role will support projects related to product development, NPI, process improvements, equipment validations etc


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical efforts on product and process issues.
  • Drive improvements through the VIP program.
  • Lead process improvements across people, quality, service, and cost.
  • Apply structured methodologies for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external quality and engineering teams.
  • Participate in phase reviews and NPE meetings for new products.
  • Support manufacturing to meet quality, output, and cost goals.
  • Maintain capacity models and assist with capital planning.
  • Lead Lean initiatives.
  • Guide Process Technicians and ensure timely preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement GMP-compliant documentation.
  • Plan and support major projects and product transfers.
  • Evaluate new equipment/processes for environmental impact.
  • Undertake additional projects as assigned.
  • Ensure patient safety and product quality.
  • Adhere to all quality system regulations.
  • Promote personal and team development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 8 qualification in engineering or related field.
  • 3 + years' relevant industry experience.
  • Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Project management experience a plus.
