An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic Operations & Planning Director to join a growing multinational organisation based in Shannon. This is a pivotal senior leadership role overseeing end-to-end operations and supply chain activities, including planning, logistics, vendor management, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the operational strategy, leading a talented local team, and driving alignment between global and regional business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across Supply, Planning, and Order Management.
- Design and implement operations and supply chain strategies that enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality.
- Oversee demand and supply planning using Anaplan (or similar tools) and manage system integration with Microsoft Great Plains.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Product, and Marketing teams to drive data-led forecasting and decision-making.
- Manage supplier relationships, 3PL partners, and logistics operations across EMEA.
- Ensure compliance with Irish, EU, and international trade, customs, and environmental regulations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects to streamline order management, invoicing, and reporting.
- Define, monitor, and report key operational KPIs including on-time delivery, service levels, cost efficiency, and lead-time reduction.
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Experience & Skills
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior supply chain, logistics, or operations management roles.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, S&OP processes, and demand planning methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Anaplan (or similar planning platforms) and Microsoft Great Plains.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of international trade, customs, and regulatory compliance within EMEA.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills across all levels.
- A collaborative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to drive change and deliver measurable results.
