Site Planning Manager

Our client, a multinational medical device manufacturer, is currently looking for a Site Planning Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Site Planning Manager is responsible for leading and managing the planner activities for the Waterford manufacturing site.

This is a fully on-site position based outside of Waterford City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the local planning team and oversee all core planning activities.
  • Maintain and improve the site S&OP process, ensuring timely and accurate supply visibility for all stakeholders
  • Monitor DC SKU inventory daily, managing levels against targets and minimising excess.
  • Develop efficient production schedules that balance customer demand, capacity utilisation, and inventory goals.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by tracking and acting on key metrics such as fill rates, backorders, and replenishment performance.
  • Coordinate with Operations to prioritise low-stock or backordered SKUs and provide reliable recovery timelines.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Freight, Warehousing, and Distribution to ensure correct planning parameters and lane setups.
  • Maintain raw material planning parameters aligned with the MPS and collaborate regularly with Purchasing on supply issues.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance production planning processes, improving manufacturing efficiency while upholding service levels.
  • Support new product introductions, safeguarding launch timelines and managing initial build requirements.
  • Perform additional managerial and operational duties as needed, emphasising continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in planning or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification, e.g. APICS Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing a site-level S&OP process, understanding of Net requirement planning / RCCP tools and MPS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel capability with Power BI, Altrix or Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is a bonus.
