Our client have a new opening for an OpenEdge Software Developer to help keep their systems running smoothly around the clock.As an OpenEdge Software Developer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver and maintain a range of in-house applications developed using OpenEdge technology. Weekend, evening, and night shifts are required on a rotational basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for developers who thrive on problem-solving, love variety in their work, and want to be part of a business where your impact is immediate and visible.

This position can be done fully remote based - the expected work pattern is from 6pm -6am 3 days on 4 days off.

Responsibilties:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications built with OpenEdge technology.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Write clean, testable, efficient code.
  • Support and troubleshoot applications and data issues—keeping systems live 24/7.
  • Deliver first-line support as needed.
  • Monitor, review, and improve application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Carry out routine maintenance (patches, updates, data checks).
  • Work with project teams to bring new ideas and improvements to life.
  • Take ownership, use your initiative, and be a trusted problem-solver.

Experience Required:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Software Development
  • Recent Graduate who has experience working with Open Edge development or other technologies
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Skills:

  • Clean, structured coding ability.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset.
  • Great communication and teamwork.
