We have an attractive opportunity for an experienced Senior ICT Officer to join a well-known healthcare provider here in Cork on a permanent basis. This position will provide senior technical and operational support for the ICT infrastructure and systems. You will ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology services that support clinical care delivery, administrative operations, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st- 3rd level ICT support to users (remote, phone, deskside), resolving complex hardware, software, and system issues.
- Oversee ICT service delivery, including managing vendors, supervising support staff/contractors, and participating in on-call support.
- Maintain and support infrastructure across servers, desktops, networks, AV, telecoms, and virtual/cloud environments (including Microsoft 365).
- Administer user accounts, access controls, and security measures in line with organisational policies and risk standards.
- Plan, manage, and deliver ICT projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective implementation and stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure business continuity through backup, disaster recovery planning, risk management, and audit trail support.
- Maintain ICT documentation, quality standards, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
- Support staff training, onboarding, and continuous improvement through ongoing professional development and technology awareness.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 8 academic qualification in Information Communication Technology or an associated field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar IT/ICT role.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting secure hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Understanding of healthcare ICT systems and clinical workflow requirements is desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a healthcare setting.
