Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Dublin 12
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our client, a leading supplier of material handling systems and postal automation solutions in Ireland. This is a permanent position located on site in Dublin 12, working with state-of-the-art automation and material handling technology.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands-on support to a busy maintenance team, ensuring high levels of equipment availability, performance, and safety within a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the day-to-day management of the maintenance team, providing both hands-on technical support and organisational leadership.
• Act as the first level of escalation for equipment faults and technical issues.
• Diagnose and fault-find issues across automated systems using OEM documentation and supplier support.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks are completed and signed off.
• Support and coordinate corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate fault reporting, maintenance records, and documentation in line with ISO quality standards.
• Support the management of shift rotas, holiday cover, training, and skill development within the team.
• Promote strong working relationships across maintenance teams, operations, and shift management.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.
We Are Interested in Speaking With:
• Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineers seeking a supervisory or leadership role, OR
• Experienced Maintenance Technicians ready to progress into team leadership, OR
• Candidates with extensive hands-on experience in automated, high-speed production or sortation environments
Key Requirements:
• Recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Level 7+ desirable).
• Proven experience in hands-on fault finding across electrical, mechanical, electronic, and automated systems.
• Strong knowledge of automation, material handling equipment and high-speed sortation systems
• Experience leading, coaching, and supporting maintenance teams in an operational environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage PM schedules, rotas, and maintenance priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of health and safety requirements within a technical or industrial environment.
