The Job:

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a high-tech manufacturing company in Newbridge that has significant investment and growth plans for their highly automated contract manufacturing site.

They are currently looking to recruit a permanent Maintenance Fitter for their facility on shifts. The plant manufacturing processes consist of high-tech electrical, robotic, and mechanical production lines and include product making, injection molding, and packing. The Maintenance Fitters work within multi-skilled teams leading the day-to-day problem-solving, planned maintenance programme, standards documentation, and continuous improvement in a high-speed, agile environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Manufacturing operations to deliver our Safety, Quality, and throughput objectives.

  • Drive a systemic approach to loss elimination and build increasing capability in the Manufacturing teams against existing and revised standards.

  • Support the maintenance team in identifying and implementing cost-reduction programmes

  • Lead the planned maintenance work every week

  • Provide support for the introduction of new products and processes within our Manufacturing Operations.

Job Requirements:

  • FAS time served mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 Years Experience in a High Tech Manufacturing Environment.

  • Experience with Packaging equipment is desirable but not essential.

  • Have excellent troubleshooting ability with a track record of root cause identification.

  • Strong Communication Skills and work well as part of a Team.
