Job Title: Maintenance Fitter (Apprenticeship Pathway)
Location: Co. Cavan
We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a leading global manufacturer in the precision engineering industry, with over 60 years of experience delivering high-quality products for industrial applications.
They are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team on a 6-month employee contract, with the potential to progress into a Maintenance Fitter Apprenticeship.
This is a fantastic entry-level role for someone interested in starting a career in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a high-tech, automated manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities:
• Assist the maintenance team with preventative and reactive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems under guidance.
• Support the team with machinery rebuilds, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
• Help maintain spare parts inventory and ensure equipment is ready for production.
• Contribute to machine risk assessments and safety checks.
• Shadow and learn from experienced Maintenance Fitters to build skills and knowledge for your apprenticeship.
What we are looking for:
• Recent school leaver/ enthusiastic individual with an interest in mechanical, electrical, or engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, practical approach.
• Willingness to learn, take instruction, and develop technical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A keen interest in starting a career in maintenance and engineering.
