Our client a major multinational is recruiting for a Lab Technician to join their growing team as they build out their new lab in Galway. This is initially an 18-month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Execute lab experiments and support assay execution in a controlled environment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the Design History File.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to draft protocols for testing and data analysis.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Set up the R&D lab, including authoring standard operating procedures and coordinating equipment procurement.
- Revise and maintain operating procedures and other documentation as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Manage activities within budget constraints and support quality management system documentation.
Requirements:
- Higher Certificate, Ordinary or Honours Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 18 months of experience in a relevant industrial environment.
- Willingness to learn and train in the design and optimisation of serological diagnostic tests.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with understanding of statistical analysis.
- Open and collaborative communication style with proficiency in technical writing and data presentation.
- Ability to make complex decisions and solve technical problems effectively.
- Capacity to build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with external suppliers.
- Commitment to acting with integrity and maintaining high ethical standards.
