Our client, a leading manufacturing and construction company, is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental standards across their operations.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong site presence, working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance, promote a positive safety culture, and support safe systems of work across manufacturing and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
- Provide professional HSE guidance to management, site teams, and HSE committees
- Conduct site inspections and audits, producing reports and tracking corrective actions
- Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
- Support environmental management practices, including waste management and environmental impact awareness
- Lead and support incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions
- Assist with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits and compliance
- Identify HSE training needs and support the delivery of safety training across teams
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure safe operational planning
- Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage operational teams
- Proactive, practical approach to risk management and safety improvement
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience implementing HSE systems in operational environments
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Experience with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 audits
- Experience in precast concrete, manufacturing, or heavy industry
