Credit & Collections Analyst

Credit & Collections Analyst – 12 month contract - Galway

 

2 plus years relevant experience in an Accounts Receivable role in multinational environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create Credit limit requests through FSCM Credit Management
  • Ensure compliance with the Global Credit Policy related to risk management and extension of credit.
  • Assist with Credit analysis of new and existing customers and highlight significant risk to management
  • Liaise with debt collection partner for uncollectible amounts
  • Complete credit insurance applications and communicate with insurance broker regarding overdue reports/debtors listing and other queries
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts
  • Ensure Cash application is accurate Ensure that cash targets are met, and payment terms are respected.
  • Record customer contact activity in SAP through FSCM Collections Management Module
  • Review unapplied credits and manage refund requests
  • Management of customer disputes
  • Management & review of daily Credit queue before approving and releasing orders for shipment
  • Direct productivity improvement efforts to ensure all processes are efficient, cost effective, and consistent with overall department practices
  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process
  • Quarter end/Public holiday support as required
  • Support Monthly Close and KPI Metrics

 

Requirements

  • Accounting Technician or equivalent Credit qualification desirable
  • Third Level Diploma/Degree an advantage
  • 2+ years relevant experience in a multinational environment.
  • Credit control or customer related experience in EMEA/APAC regions is desirable
  • SAP/FSCM Collections Module or other major ERP Systems experience is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Additional European language would be an advantage not essential i.e., German, French etc.
