Compliance Manager

We have an exciting Compliance Manager role within a a leading indigenous electronics company based in Shannon. This is a full-time, permanent position and is based fully on-site in Shannon.

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the company’s compliance strategy to ensure that all products, processes, and operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. This role will also oversee the implementation and maintenance of QEHS management systems to drive continuous improvement and minimize operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continually improve the company’s ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System in line with legislative requirements and industry best practice.
  • Manage the company’s ISO 14001 certification, ensuring ongoing compliance and continual improvement.
  • Liaise with environmental regulatory bodies and maintain required permits and records.
  • Oversee document control processes, ensuring all policies, procedures, and work instructions are current, approved, and communicated.
  • Manage and coordinate all global product approvals for our products, including CE, UKCA, UL, EN standards, and other regional certifications.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to senior management on compliance status, risks, and improvement plans.Lead cross-departmental compliance initiatives to ensure alignment between R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, quality, or regulatory affairs, ideally within manufacturing or electronics.
  • Proven experience managing ISO certification programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of product safety standards and regulatory approvals for smoke and/or CO alarms (EN 14604, EN 50291, UL 217, etc.) an advantage.
  • Familiarity with EU, UK, and global regulatory frameworks.
