Our client, a growing multinational manufacturer in Longford is looking to hire an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations, ensuring efficient workflows, consistent performance, and effective problem-solving.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Production Manager who likes a hands-on role, it will suit someone with a proven track record in managing production operations, driving performance improvements, and building collaborative teams in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize and manage IQMS software (training provided if required).
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are consistently met.
- Manage labor allocation and approve workforce planning.
- Understand product requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Set performance targets, monitor plant metrics, and report progress.
- Develop strategies to minimize scrap and improve yields.
- Define responsibilities for direct reports and ensure accountability.
- Review and approve performance evaluations for team members.
- Investigate and address workplace incidents and accident reports.
- Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance systems
- Track and validate accuracy of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories.
- Apply fair and consistent HR practices while upholding company policies.
- Drive adherence to ISO 13485, ISO 14001, GMP, and other quality and regulatory standards.
- Lead initiatives for technical and operational improvements.
- Oversee production facility performance, ensuring resources and staffing are optimized.
- Monitor key production metrics (downtime, waste, non-conformance) and implement solutions.
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and audit readiness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage, develop, and coach direct reports, ensuring alignment with performance management processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years as a Production Manager or equivalent role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. Proven experience in analyzing performance data and turning insights into actionable strategies. Ability to collaborate across all levels of the business.
- Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. A continuous improvement mindset with solid knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
