Our Shannon-based client, Ei Electronics, is a leading manufacturer of fire detection, gas detection, and environmental monitoring products. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and reliability, the company serves global markets through a network of international offices and strategic partners. As Ei Electronics continues to expand its global footprint, it is seeking ambitious early-career professionals to join its Business Development team.


Role Overview

The Business Development Associate will support Ei Electronics’ global growth strategy, with a focus on developing and expanding the business across North American markets. This role is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a strong interest in international business, market development, and strategic relationship building.


The role provides exposure to well-developed and highly competitive markets, including participation in extended international placements. The successful candidate will support market exploration activities, contribute to building business cases, and assist in strengthening the Ei Electronics brand presence across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities across North American markets.

  • Support the development and execution of market entry and expansion strategies under the Ei Electronics brand.

  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, distributors, and partners across the supply chain.

  • Assist in the preparation of business proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and operations teams to support commercial objectives.

  • Track key performance indicators and prepare regular market and performance reports for senior management.

  • Participate in extended regional placements to gain in-depth understanding of local market dynamics.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in business development, sales, consulting, or international trade.

  • An MBA (completed or in progress) is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures.

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel or relocate internationally for regional assignments.
