Business Development Associate - European Markets

Our Shannon-based clients, Ei Electronics, are a leading manufacturer of fire detection, gas detection, and environmental monitoring products. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and reliability, the company serves global markets through a network of international offices and strategic partners. As Ei Electronics continues to expand its global footprint, it is seeking ambitious early-career professionals to join its Business Development team.


Role Overview

The Business Development Associate will support Ei Electronics’ global growth strategy, with a particular focus on European markets. This role is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a strong interest in international business, market development, and strategic relationship building.


The position offers exposure to diverse markets and business environments, including participation in extended international relocation programmes, providing hands-on experience in supporting regional growth initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities across European markets.
  • Support the development and execution of market entry and expansion strategies under the Ei Electronics brand.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing distributors, partners, and customers in assigned regions.
  • Assist in the preparation of business proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and operations teams to support commercial objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare regular performance and market reports for senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in business development, sales, consulting, or international trade.
  • An MBA (completed or in progress) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel or relocate internationally as part of regional placements.
