The Job:
As an Assistant Logistics Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Supply Chain team. You’ll lead by example, fostering a culture of safe, cost-effective, team-driven performance. Using lean tools, digitalisation, and collaboration, you’ll optimise logistics operations while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive safety and environmental compliance, working closely with the EHS team to reduce risk
- Act as an ambassador for high standards across all site activities
- Implement operational efficiency and customer service improvements through team engagement and digital tools
- Shape and deliver a logistics vision that integrates service needs across businesses on the island
- Lead logistics activity during SAP (ERP) and systems upgrade projects
- Optimise logistics costs, eliminate waste, and maximise resource utilisation
- Manage and develop haulage partners to ensure safe, high performance
- Oversee accurate material receipt, picking, and shipment processes
- Build strong relationships with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Partner with HR to manage industrial relations and foster collaboration
- Define, measure, and achieve KPIs in Safety, Operational Efficiency, Stock Accuracy, and Customer Service Index
- Ensure maximum On-Time-In-Full delivery performance for both incoming and customer shipments
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of lean tools, digitalisation, and operational efficiency practices
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for safety, sustainability, and customer service
