Accountant
3-Month Fixed Term Contract | Full-Time
A national charity is seeking a qualified or part-qualified Accountant to support the Finance team on a 3-month FTC. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate monthly reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting senior management and Board reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable, supplier payments, and expense processing
- Complete monthly reconciliations (bank, creditors, payroll, fixed assets, investments)
- Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysis
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and oversee quarterly stock reconciliations
- Support annual audit, financial statements, and regulatory reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Contribute to Board and stakeholder reporting
- Drive process improvements and provide cross-cover within the finance team
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong management accounts and reconciliation experience
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
