Accounts Assistant

Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing company located in Offaly are seeking a proactive Accounts Assistant to join a busy and dynamic accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in finance and accounting while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. This position would also suit a part-qualified accountant looking to complete their qualification.


Permanent Contract - Monday to Thursday 8.30-17.30, Friday 8.30-1.30. On-site - Co. Offaly


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and escalate overdue payments
  • Post customer receipts and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and issue customer statements
  • Set up and manage supplier accounts
  • Handle supplier queries and reconciliations
  • Process purchase invoices and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare supplier payment runs
  • Allocate and post bank transactions
  • Prepare fortnightly payroll and associated reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations

Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accounting Technician or PQ Accountant, or Equivalent
  • Knowledge of SAP desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong administration and communication skills
