We’re looking for a Technical Trainer to lead and support our clients site-wide training initiatives that strengthen capabilities, promote best practices, and help maintain high standards of quality and performance.
Your Role
As the site-based Technical Trainer, you will:
- Deliver certified training (IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721, IPC WHMA-A-620) to ensure compliance with customer standards.
- Drive and support induction, upskilling, and cross-training across departments.
- Assist in developing capability matrices to identify skills gaps and mitigate single points of failure.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to support audits, CAPA investigations, and prototype builds.
- Lead practical, hands-on training in electronics handling, assembly, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement (CI/Lean).
- Maintain training facilities and records, and update training content in line with current technologies and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to strategic training plans and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with HR and CI teams.
What You Bring
- IPC Certified Trainer credentials (J-STD-001/IPC-A-610) or willingness to achieve certification.
- Strong background in electronics manufacturing or design within an ISO or EN9100-certified environment.
- Experience in delivering training and assessing workforce skill levels.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisation skills.
- Solid knowledge of Lean methodologies and CI tools (A3, waste reduction, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
