Job Opportunity: Technical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex engineering projects from contract award to delivery. This role involves working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure that each project is scoped, planned, and executed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Based in Mullingar, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business operations and continuous improvement efforts. Open to Contractors.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical input to the Sales team during the quoting process and customer presentations.
- Review and interpret customer requirements (URS) and define project scope and deliverables.
- Initiate project kick-off meetings and maintain project documentation including timelines, risk registers, and open issues logs.
- Manage project scope changes, ensuring impacts on cost, time, and customer expectations are assessed and documented.
- Coordinate with project administrators to source competitive quotes and place orders.
- Support the development of training materials and technical documentation for installations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to meet customer expectations and project goals.
- Assist in designing and implementing a standardized project management system.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
- Participate in business improvement initiatives, including health and safety practices and market development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project management, including documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in an industrial setting.
- Willingness to contribute across various aspects of the business in a small team environment.
- Knowledge of the polymer processing industry is an advantage (training provided).
