Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Co. Westmeath
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our client, one of Ireland's leading Engineering Services companies, based in County Westmeath.
This role is office-based and involves providing technical support to the engineering team on polymer and injection moulding systems, organising callouts and liaising with customers on equipment breakdowns and technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Engineering team, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Collaborate on service schedules and contribute to operational planning and budgeting.
- Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
- Manage customer equipment breakdowns, with experience in Fanuc, Piovan, D Mag, and Engel systems considered a strong advantage.
- Maintain, upload, and manage RAMS documentation on customer portals.
- Liaise with principal partners to source technical support, spare parts, and schematics.
- Manage calibration instruments and ensure service documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Update and maintain machinery records within the software management system.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or service-focused role, preferably in Injection Moulding
- Familiarity with plastics machinery, with Fanuc, Piovan and Engel experience considered a distinct advantage.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
