A well established utilities and electrical construction company is seeking an Electrical Quality & Compliance Manager with a strong electrical background to take ownership of quality across substation asset replacement, maintenance works, and mini-pillar installations. This role is about making sure jobs are done properly, to the right standards, safely, and with the correct documentation, while improving how work is carried out on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management & Compliance
- Maintain and improve the QMS in line with ISO 9001 and client requirements
- Ensure all works meet ESB specifications, technical guidelines, and construction standards
- Conduct audits, site inspections, and quality checks
- Manage external audits (ESB Networks and certification bodies)
- Keep quality documentation and procedures up to date
- Substations & Mini-Pillars
- Oversee QA for replacement of LV boards, RMUs, transformers, switchgear, protection devices, and related infrastructure
- Ensure mini-pillar replacements follow approved designs and installation standards
- Verify installation, commissioning, and testing in line with ESB standards
- Ensure maintenance activities are properly executed and recorded
- Monitor workmanship, safety, and operational compliance
- Continuous Improvement
- Deliver training and toolbox talks on standards and best practices
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability
- Identify recurring issues and implement improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified electrician or strong quality management experience in electrical infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of ESB Networks standards (substations, LV/MV assets, mini-pillars)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, and 55001 is an advantage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
