This Cork based company offers an exciting opportunity for a Mid level SRE to join their technical team in being part of developing world class automation solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software and systems within the SRE domain.
Manage and support in-house development systems, CI/CD pipelines, and tools, leveraging automation to streamline activities and reduce toil.
Collaborate closely with developers and architects to ensure designed solutions meet non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, and maintainability.
Handle incident management, conduct post-mortem reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to evolve processes and systems within the organization.
Contribute to defining key metrics and technical decisions driving product delivery, including SLOs and SLAs, architecture, best practices, and cost optimization.
Take ownership of complex project tasks, striving for and achieving higher standards of individual and team performance.
Foster relationships external to the team and drive knowledge sharing across all products.
Identify personal development opportunities, set goals, and deliver impactful on-the-job contributions.
Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company, driving company-wide improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Holds 3-5 years of experience using AWS platform and services.
Proficient with common tools and technologies within CI/CD and Build pipelines such as Terraform, Jenkins, Gitlab, Nexus, Ansible, Maven, Docker, and Helm.
Possesses a BSc in an IT related field or equivalent professional experience in cloud operations and/or cloud platforms in a DevOps engineering or SRE role.
Familiarity with commonly used operating systems including Ubuntu and Windows.
Experienced in scripting with Bash, Python, or Powershell.
Skilled in troubleshooting issues in a cloud environment.
Comfortable working with multiple teams to facilitate orderly project and release plans.
Familiarity with VMWare vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) desirable.
