Our client is a leading developer who specialises in new build works and is now hiring a Site Foreman for a large upcoming residential project in Wicklow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all on-site activities for residential construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Coordinate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
Lead daily whiteboard meetings and maintain a proactive two-week look-ahead schedule.
Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are met on schedule.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Plan and oversee the site setup to ensure all facilities and services are in place before work commences.
Attend weekly construction management meetings to provide project updates and collaborate on key decisions.
Maintain a detailed Site Diary, recording subcontractor presence and documenting site activities.
Motivate and manage labourers and subcontractors to achieve high performance and productivity.
Liaise with design teams to clarify project requirements and ensure timely delivery of necessary information.
Collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements:
Technical or trade background with at least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
Proven success in managing residential projects from initiation to completion.
Strong understanding of current building regulations.
Excellent ability to interpret and verify construction drawings.
Experience coordinating with utility service providers.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality projects in a safe and efficient manner.
