An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Service Engineer to join a well-established and long-standing engineering services company based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. This office based role involves providing technical support to the engineering team and liasing with customers on equipment breakdowns and technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the service department.
- Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
- Manage customer equipment breakdowns (Fanuc & Piovan experience is a distinct advantage).
- Liaise with principal partners to source support, parts, and schematics.
- Maintain and upload RAMS to customer portals.
- Manage calibration instruments and service documentation.
- Update machinery records in the software management system.
- Collaborate on service schedules and contribute to operational planning and budgeting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with plastics machinery (Fanuc & Piovan experience is a distinct advantage).
- Previous experience in a maintenance or service-focused role.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
