An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior PMO (Project Management Office) Lead to join a newly established PMO function. This senior role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping, embedding, and continuously improving project management processes, while supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of PMO and senior stakeholders, ensuring strong governance, oversight, and continuous improvement in project delivery across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enhance PMO processes, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
- Provide oversight of projects and programmes, monitoring cost, scope, risk, and quality.
- Drive best practice and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align projects with strategic objectives.
- Support project managers and teams with guidance, mentorship, and training.
- Enable the introduction and use of PMO IT systems and tools.
About You
- To be considered, candidates must have:
- A relevant degree (Level 8 NFQ or equivalent) in business, engineering, or project management.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project, programme, or PMO management.
- A recognised project management qualification or professional membership.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A full driving licence and the flexibility to travel as required.
Desirable: experience with project management software, knowledge of public sector project frameworks, or cross-jurisdictional work.
