Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and prepare tender and contract documents.
- Conduct cost analysis and perform risk management processes.
- Monitor project expenditures and provide detailed cost reports.
- Assess contractor claims and variations, ensuring accurate valuations.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure financial control and reporting.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support procurement activities by evaluating supplier quotations and pricing structures.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify cost-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, cost management, and cost reporting.
- Experience in preparing BOQs and cost planning.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
