Quality Assurance Specialist – Manufacturing
Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan
Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week (Early finish on Fridays)
Are you a hands-on quality professional with a background in assembly and a passion for continuous improvement? We're looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, make an impact from day one, and truly take ownership of a key quality role on the production floor.
About the Opportunity
A leading manufacturing company in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to strengthen its on-site quality operations. This is more than a desk job — it’s a floor-based, high-visibility role where you’ll be making sure machines are built to spec, signed off correctly, and ready to ship out the door. You’ll be right at the heart of operations, wearing your hi-vis, solving problems, and supporting production every day.
This is a career-defining opportunity to take charge of a quality function, embed best practices, and shape the future of quality on site — all while being fully supported and trained on the internal Quality Management System.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Be on the ground — actively support production by ensuring quality processes are followed across weld, machine shop, paint, and assembly.
Sign off on all finished machines, carrying out thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections before they leave the factory.
Identify and investigate non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Liaise with production teams and suppliers to enhance quality performance.
Own quality communications — liaise directly with suppliers on defective materials and confidently escalate issues when needed.
Drive root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and generate clear, concise reports for senior management.
Prepare for and support regulatory audits and contribute to quality council meetings.
Pull and analyse quality data to improve internal standards and reduce rework.
Assist in embedding a strong culture of Total Quality Management across the site.
Help embed continuous improvement and Total Quality Management principles across the site.
What You’ll Bring:
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment — assembly experience is a strong advantage.
Background in quality control and production support — ideally with exposure to problem-solving techniques and audit prep.
Excellent communication skills — especially in email/reporting to internal teams and external suppliers.
Comfortable working on the factory floor in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Strong attention to detail, root cause analysis ability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What’s in It for You:
Opportunity to make the role your own and help shape the quality function.
Full training provided on the internal Quality Management System.
Competitive salary and performance-related recognition.
Private healthcare, life assurance & pension contributions.
21 days annual leave plus public holidays.
Perks card, LinkedIn Learning access, and more.
A supportive, values-driven work culture with a strong focus on safety, respect, and personal growth.
